Queensland Excellence College was founded by Barry and Bronwyn Haynes in March 2005. They felt there was a hole in the education industry for hairdressing students, looking for part-time study or wanting to be able to fit a course around their life. To fill this need, Queensland Excellence College was opened.

At conception Queensland Excellence College offered Certificate II & III in Hairdressing, 2 years later, they decided to add to their training scope , offering Certificate IV in Hairdressing , Certificate II in Make-up, Certificate II in Nails & Certificate III in Beauty services.

Since opening, Queensland Excellence College has grown from 4 students to currently over 50 students, Queensland Excellence College prides itself on changing with the times, ensuring its students receive the most up to date training, and they provide this via experienced teachers who are continually updating their knowledge & skills. Additionally, QEC employs the use of guest from a number of leading hairdressing companies to educate students on new professional products & career opportunities.

Queensland Excellence College’s manager Anthony Boyd and CEO and head of the Hairdressing faculty Joanne Allen are supported by additional teachers all possessing years of experience and knowledge in the hairdressing field, along with our other specialist teachers.
